Professional Recognition

The OASBO awards are a recognition of exceptional individuals serving public education within business operations roles. Members eligible for these awards have demonstrated a dedication to public school finance through service to OASBO or creating efficiencies, policy, or other positive impacts to the whole of public education in Oregon.

Nominations by members play a vital role in ensuring OASBO is recognizing deserving peers who are driving the advancement of the profession.

Outstanding Service Award

Any OASBO member may nominate another school member for the Outstanding Service Award. Eligible nominees meet these criteria:

  • Current OASBO member (active, retired, or lifetime; current board members are not eligible).
  • Has provided extended and significant service to OASBO and to the advancement of school business administration in Oregon.
  • Be of good moral character and shown professional integrity throughout their career.
 

Details

Use the form to submit a nomination. This information is needed to complete the form:  

  • Narrative of major contributions to school business administration and education.
  • Narrative of employment history. 
  • Any other pertinent information. Could include references or letters of recommendation.

President's Award

The OASBO President is empowered to recognize a current member for outstanding contributions during their year at the helm of the Board of Directors.

The award is presented at the Annual Summer Conference, if awarded.

Partner Award

First awarded in 2023, this award honors the work our business partners and exhibitors do for and on behalf of public education. This award is presented at the Annual Summer Conference, if awarded.

Any OASBO member may nominate a business member for the Partner Award. Eligible nominees meet these criteria:

 
  • Current OASBO business partner or exhibitor.
  • Has provided extended and significant service to OASBO and schools in Oregon.
  • Be of good moral character and shown professional integrity throughout their career.
