OASBO’s committees are a vital part of our association. These volunteers provide guidance on program development and a wide range of resources designed to assist in making our jobs easier. Serving on a committee is a great way to contribute to your organization and the profession of school business. Membership is open to all active OASBO members. The Associate Member Committee is responsible for the organization of the annual summer conference exhibitor area. The Committee works to strengthen the communication network between business partners and the association in order to increase the number of exhibitors at the Annual Meeting and improve business partner satisfaction and relationships.

The Audit Committee performs an annual review of financial transactions and reports to the Board of Directors on their findings.

The Legislative Committee tracks legislative issues and proposals. They provide vital information to OASBO members regarding legislative issues.
The Mentor/New Business Manager Institute Committee is responsible for the design and oversight of the new business manager institute and identification of potential mentors. The committee will work with the Professional Certification and Professional Development Committees to assure alignment between committee goals.

The PERS Committee is responsible for tracking PERS issues and potential reforms. They serve as the conduit to OASBO members for information related to PERS issues.

The Professional Certification Committee is responsible for oversight of OASBO's Professional Certification program. Their responsibilities include review and recommendation of applicants for certification as well as the requirements for certification.

The Professional Development Committee organizes and recommends professional development topics for OASBO members through our various workshop opportunities. The committee focus will be in the areas of our professional certification program as identified below. Their charge includes establishing professional development opportunities related directly to the certification specialty areas identified in our professional certification program. Those areas include:
A primary function of the Professional Development Committee is the planning of workshop topics for the annual meeting. The committee identifies and monitors topics in school business management that are relevant and appropriate for presentation at the annual meeting.

This committee is responsible for oversight of OASBO's Scholarship program and recommendation of scholarship recipients to the Board on an annual basis.
